In a strategic effort to promote economic independence and reduce unemployment, the Member representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Anamero Dekeri, facilitated a high-impact training and empowerment programme for youths and women across the constituency.
The initiative, organized in collaboration with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), focused on equipping participants with practical skills in the production of essential hygiene products such as soap and disinfectants.
The two-day workshop, held from April 9th to 10th, 2026, at Lecky Event Center in Auchi, was designed to provide beneficiaries with hands-on, market-ready skills that can be immediately translated into income-generating ventures.
By focusing on products that are in constant demand across homes, healthcare facilities, and workplaces, the programme aims to transform participants from job seekers into entrepreneurs and small-scale manufacturers.
Hon. Anamero emphasized that the initiative is part of his broader commitment to grassroots empowerment and sustainable development. He noted that empowering youths and women with practical skills remains one of the most effective ways to drive economic growth and improve living standards.
The programme not only provides a pathway to financial independence but also contributes to improved hygiene practices within communities, creating both economic and public health benefits.
This initiative further reinforces Hon. Anamero’s reputation for delivering people-oriented programmes that create real impact at the grassroots level.
